ALWAYS WELCOMING VOLUNTEERS
The Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum is always welcoming volunteers. We believe that getting the community involved in sharing in the pride of Susan's first home is what will preserve the life and legacy of our feminist foremother.
Volunteer positions available:
PLANNED GIVING OFFICER:
You will primarily organize activities to raise funds and building relationships with donors. This position may design, evaluate, plan, direct, implement and produce these activities. Networking to develop direct mail programs and referrals to different sources may also be included.
ANNUAL GIVING OFFICER:
Duties would include raising awareness of the museum's work and financial needs. Acquiring, cultivating and retaining fund donors is of utmost importance. You may also develop, plan, execute and evaluate a full giving program.
GIFT SHOP ATTENDANT:
Retail experience is a bonus, but we are willing to train the right person. Maintaining the gift shop space when there are no visitors is also important. If you are congenial and motivated, you will be a perfect fit.
GROUNDS ATTENDANT:
As a Grounds Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the museum's exterior spaces, ensuring they are clean, attractive, and well-kept. Duties include gardening, lawn care, minor repairs, and assisting with event setup and teardown. Do you enjoy gardening or spending time outside? Then this position is for you!
The possibilities are endless! We are a close-knit family here at the birthplace museum and are welcoming to anyone interested in getting involved. We encourage volunteers to propose their own projects as well for service hours, credit, or just for fun of course!
